Trick-or-Treating

We had SO much fun tonight with the kids. Lydia came with us the kids loved that. Then we met up with Michelle Ewell and finished out the night at 10pm. The kids were so tired but didn't want to go home, so we kept going. Here's the kids in their costumes.

Lydia and Aurora were SANDY and Sage was a DANNY from GREASE. My Mom and I made the costumes this year. The kids got tons of candy and I'm sure it will be gone by Monday.

I'm leaving Sunday for Utah, Four Corners, Arches, and The Grand Canyon. We'll be gone 2 weeks, so I'll only be posting when I have Internet.

Halloween Treats!

I've been meaning to post this all day but it got away from me. I've been doing laundry and cleaning house so I can come home to a clean house after vacation. Anyway.

This is what Sage's Preschool Class got today from Sage. The kids all loved it and the mom's are now interested in SU! so, I'm doubly happy.

I'll post a picture of the kids in their costumes tonight when we get home from trick or treating tonight.

Proud Mommy

Yesterday when I dropped Sage off at Preschool there were some of his latest projects in his cubby. Since I don't have room to save every little thing he brings home, I decided to take pictures of them and then save the really important ones. I got this idea from AMBER. I'm going to scrapbook all these pictures at the end of the year. Anyway, on to the title of this post. I am SO proud of Sage and all the progress he has made. He used to struggle with routine and listening and just when I was at my wits end, having tried everything I could think of to help him, then Preschool For All came into our lives and changed it for the better and now thanks to the BEST Preschool teachers in the world; Ms. Terri and Ms. Delia he is growing, maturing and accomplishing so many things at an amazing speed. Sage makes me so proud to be his Mommy! He is quickly becoming the popular one in his class, which I'm not sure where it came from, his Dad and I were Choir nerds and far from being popular. He's also become Teacher's Pet, which is more like his parent's. He is so much smarter than us, already!

Here are some of his projects:

His teacher said it took the whole activity time to do this one, because he had to have the pasta arranged just right over the tracing of his name. Yep, he gets his OCD from me.

This one really makes me proud, he's so good at tracing. He used to struggle with this and now he's a pro!

Again, he had to have the pasta arranged just right. I've already apologized to him for passing my OCD onto him.

Thank You

I was lucky enough to get in some much needed stamping time last night after the kids went to bed. Here's one of the cards I made last night. I decided to give it to a friend. Since she reads my Blog, I'm not saying which friend otherwise she'll know ahead of time what her card looks like. Like all my friends I am lucky to know her and count her as my friend.

Also, thanks to all those who wished me a Happy Birthday. You helped make my day special!

My Birthday Part 2

Okay, all in all even though I had to work today, it was a pretty good day. For dinner we had my favorite pizza Pizza Hut Cheese Lover's Stuffed Crust Pizza. Then B&J Ice Cream for dessert. I then opened my present from my Husband and my Kids. A few months ago I lost my tennis bracelet so for my birthday Robert and the Kids surprised me with a new one.

Then I opened my present from my friend Marissa. OH MY GOSH!!! It's the best present ever! I'm almost afraid to use it, so I don't ruin it. The pictures are out of order, but.... here's what the inside looks like. Click on the pictures to view them better.

Here's the back cover:
Here's the front cover:
Thanks Marissa for the most amazing gift ever!!!!!! I love you tons!

Challenge Reminder

Just wanted to remind you all of the Catalog Inspiration Challenge that I issued. You have 5 more days to submit your creations. I'll choose a winner on Nov 1st. Details can be found HERE. The winner will receive a special gift from me when I return from Vacation on Nov 12th.

27 Years

Well... today's the day! I can't believe that I'm 27 today! I feel SO old!!! Every year on my birthday I start something new, kind of like a New Year's Resolution. So I woke up at 6am and went walking with Janice(Lydia's Mom).We didn't make it as far as I wanted to originally, but that's okay. My goal for year 27 of my life is to be healthier. Now that doesn't necessarily mean skinnier, but just a healthier me. So if your in the neighborhood at 6am I'd love the company! After our walk we came back home and she gave me my first Birthday Present of the day. We were talking the other day about Christian Slater and how gorgeous he is and this movie came up. I used to own it on VHS, but it got lost in the move when we moved from SLC to San Diego. I've been looking for it on DVD ever since and haven't been able to find it. Janice and Lydia actually called all over San Diego trying to find it for me. It is my favorite Christian Slater movie of all time!!! It's just the best movie ever, every girls dream about love and how it should be comes true in this movie!!!

My card was the best card anyone has ever gotten me. If you know me well enough, you know that I LOVE the T.V. Show Friends. I am addicted and own all 10 Seasons on DVD and watch them religiously. Here's the front of the card.

When you open it, it plays the Theme from Friends! How Awesome is that???

Pumkpin Carving

Today we sat down with the kids and carved our pumpkins. In years past we've actually carved intricate designs into our pumpkins, but Sage wanted to do them his way this year. Aurora is still too young to really care about the process, so we let Sage do both of the pumpkins. He drew the designs and we carved them for him. Here's his creations.

He was SO VERY proud of his Jack-O-Lanterns! Here he is posing with his creations. He was kind enough to let Aurora be in the picture as well. She still doesn't know quite what to do with the pumpkins or why we even carved them.

I can't wait to show you them in their costumes! Their costumes are from one of my favorite movies. I'll give you a hint. "There are worse things I could do, then go with a boy or two."

Punchy Spider Returns

It's the return of the Punchy Spider! Instead of sandwiching a peppermint patty, I decided to adhere a Pixy Stix to the top of it to look like he's dangling from his web. Cool Huh!?

Halloween

My Cousin Liz sent this to me and I laughed so hard. I thought I'd share it will you.

Silly Sage

On Sunday evening Robert and I were playing with the kids, and Sage said: "Daddy, do you need a cape?" He then wrapped his arms around Robert's neck and said: "Fly Dad, Fly! Don't worry I'll help you." I quickly ran for the camera and snapped this picture. It was so funny!

Cards for Eric & Bonnie

Back in August Robert's brother Eric and his wife Bonnie celebrated their First Wedding Anniversary. I was really prepared, I had the card made weeks in advance (it even matches their colors) and then I completely spaced their Anniversary. I just now remembered it today, during the first session of General Conference. This is their Anniversary card:

Then in between sessions Eric called to tell us that Bonnie is 11 weeks pregnant, so I went right to my desk and made this:
They are both in envelopes and will be mailed tomorrow morning, provided I remember to give them to Robert to mail on his way to work.
