Having Fun Isn't Hard....

...When you've got a Library card!!!! I took Sage to the Lemon Grove Library last Thursday so he could get his very own card. He thought he was the coolest thing ever!

Here he is signing his name to the application.

Here he is posing with his card.

So many books..... so many decisions!!! He had a hard time picking out books.

I can't believe how fast my little boy is growing up! I love watching him learn to read, he is very intense and loves to learn to new words!!! I can't wait to scrapbook this event!!!

Thursday Thoughts

I've had so many thought running through my head lately that it's hard to pick just one. So.... we'll go with the most frequent thought.

"I wish I had time to stamp for ME, not for a class or club night, ME!"

Mommy & Me Preschool

The time has come for me to put my associates degree in child development and early education to good use. I had to pull Sage from Preschool due to some not so good events in his class. We transformed to corner in the Kitchen into a Preschool Classroom complete with Calendar and lots of charts.

The wall above the Computer in the Dining Room was turned into a Bulletin Board for Sage to display his art and other work.

Sage, hard at work on the "Q" worksheet.

We end the day at the park, by our house. It just got new equipment last week and I think Sage really approves. He really loved this climbing wall!

He also really loved this toy. I'm not sure what it's called but it is awesome!

Our schedule will go as follows:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

12:30 Reading

12:45 Table Time (calendar, singing, weather etc..)

1:00 Work Time and Activity

1:30 Park

Tuesday

12:00 Table Time

12:15 Free Day at the Museum's in Balboa Park

Thursday

12:00 Table Time

12:15 Library Day

Anyone is welcome to join Sage and I as we learn and grow together!!!

St. Patrick's Day Fun Continued....

So there aren't any pictures cause the battery died and I couldn't find the charger. The traditional meal for St. Patty's Day is Corned Beef and Cabbage but we don't care for that, so I tweaked it a little bit and decided that we would have Beef & Broccoli over Rice for Dinner, we also had Green Jello Squares, then for dessert we let the kids ice some shamrock sugar cookies that I had made earlier in the day. It was a day filled with fun, and one I hope the kids will always remember.

St. Patrick's Day Fun!!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day! We've started a new tradition in our home. Every Holiday no matter how small is a special day where we will do something fun!

Last night for Family Home Evening we went shopping for supplies to make Leprechaun Traps. We came home and the kids colored lunch bags with rainbows, pots of gold and shamrocks to lure the Leprechaun's into the bag where they would find their favorite thing in the world GOLD COINS!!!
Here's what the kids woke up to in the kitchen. Leprechaun tracks!!! We've been leaving Leprechaun Tracks out side all weekend long to help get the kids excited for the Holiday. The tracks today went from the table all the way out the back door and down the ramp.

Sage was bummed when he saw that he didn't catch a Leprechaun! As he looked in his trap he exclaimed " Those stinking, tricky Leprechaun's!!! But as promised the Leprechaun's left a surprise.... Lucky Charms Cereal!!!

Those Leprechaun's sure are tricky!!! Before the left they turned our pancake mix and our milk GREEN!!! Sage and Aurora thought that was sooo funny!!!

The kids eating green pancakes and drinking green milk.

I'll post more pictures of our holiday fun, later on tonight.

Flash Back Friday - Grandma

Hello! I'm back and after re-installing my computer with all the software and pictures I'm finally done, except for the printer. Anyway. On to Flash Back Friday.

Today I am sharing a letter that my Grandma Bigler wrote to me for my First Birthday. I have always cherished this letter, even more so now that she's gone. Tomorrow is her birthday, and the 10th was the 2 year anniversary of her death. It was a hard day, and it's hard not having her here. She was truly the best Grandma that anyone could ask for. When I was little every Saturday she would fix me an omelet and grits and we would read the funnies curled up in her bed. I hope you enjoy the letter.

Rock and a Hard Place

So... I've been dealing with some major drama with Sage's Preschool. Today it really hit the point that I'm not sure if i can deal with this anymore. The main teacher has been spreading lies and starting arguments with parent's and the other teacher's in front of the kids. She's even starting to take it out on the kids. I've been toying with the idea of pulling Sage out of school just so he isn't exposed to this awful behavior. What would you do???

Computer Problems

Hello Stampers,

I'm sorry that I've been gone so long. My computer has been in the shop and will be out hopefully this weekend. I'll be back with tons of cute cards and information as soon as my computer is up and running again.

Down Time

Sorry, I've been gone for so long. My computer has been out of comission for a while and will be the rest of this week. I'll be back with some super cute pictures soon.
