Last night marked Sage's first Cub Scout Activity. They are currently working on their swimming skills so he hasn't worn his uniform yet. He can't wait to a bog scout like his Daddy!

It's Great to be Eight!
Today Sage is Eight years old, I can't believe that my baby boy is old enough to be baptized. We started the day with his favorite breakfast of pancakes and bacon. He then got to open two presents which were Star Wars Lego sets. We went and visited Hayden and then headed to the new City Creek Mall in downtown Salt Lake City were we had Chick-fil-a for lunch then headed back to Grandma Parker's house where we got ready for Sage's Baptism.
Robert and Sage all ready to go in their suits.
All of us

We are so proud of Sage and his choice to be baptized. He is such a good boy with an amazing spirit and we are proud to be his parents.

Who Would Have Known...
...That this sweet little Monkey was a Kleptomaniac?
Not her Father and I, that's for sure. For the last six months we'd catch her every once in a while digging up loose change from the furniture. She's been dying to go to The Lemonade Store(Souplantation) and pay for her own meal.
We were helping the kids organize their room earlier this week and I picked up her bank and it was way heavier that I expected it to be. I never would have thought that this little thing could hold so much.

We promptly dumped it out and were shocked to find $30 in change along with the $2 she got from the Tooth Fairy. She is one determined little girl and I'm glad that she has learned how to save for something that she really wants.

I Am Your Father
We will be in Utah on Sage's birthday and he's also being baptized that day. We already took him to Disneyland and California Adventure last month to celebrate but I wanted his Baptism party to be extra special since we'll be with family who are never around for his birthdays.
Sage's new obsession is Lego Star Wars. I found these images online and made a super cute invitation using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio software. I love it and I am so happy with his invitations. I also made some super cute Thank You cards to send out afterwards. I'll share those after everyone has received them.
I also made this for the party to put on the table for decoration. Love it!

Tooth #2
As if I didn't already know this but Aurora just loves to show Sage up. She has done everything faster than he did it. The first tooth she lost last month and already the new one is growing in. Sage's teeth grow so slow and Aurora has already lost 2 teeth and she's not even in kindergarten yet. Sage didn't loose teeth until first grade.

Summer Fun
At the beginning of Summer the kids and I made a list of fun things we wanted to do this summer. We've checked off quite a bit but still have a ways to go. Nine more weeks left of summer until we get back on a normal schedule.

Honest Abe
Robert took me to see Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter today. Yes, I know it's rated R and yes there are a few parts that did not need to be in there but hello..... it's a vampire movie so it's going to be violent. I didn't think I'd like it at all but I was pleasantly surprised. Even though I found myself cuddling up to Robert at the really intense scenes, I really enjoyed it and found myself getting caught up with the storyline.
It was a historical/fiction film. I love how it actually followed his life through his Presidency. The way it was presented made me feel and wish that it was real. And really.... who doesn't love a good vampire movie. There's something about vampires that intrigues me and I love the idea of it.
The best part about the movie was that It made me want to come home and read all I could about Abe. I'm thinking that this coming year that we're going to learn about a different President every week and I cannot wait to teach the kids about all of the amazing things President Lincoln did!

Good for more than...
... jumping. Last week the kids spent one very chilly Summer morning drawing on the trampoline with sidewalk chalk. They had a blast! Aurora and Gabby just drew crazy lines all over the place while Sage and Savannah had fun covering the Trampoline in chalk.
Sage's Spider
Many Mustaches
I just love this stamp set. From the moment I saw it in last years catalog I knew I had to have it. I was even more excited when Stampin' Up! released it in digital format for MDS. I made this today since I was feeling down and this set always brings a smile to my face.

Make Way for Sage Parker
...That's right, Move over Paul and Morgan Hamm! When Sage came home from Gymnastics tonight he brought me this:
We are so proud of Sage. After two years of hard work perfecting his beginner skills in Gymnastics, Sage is moving up to Advanced Gymnastics which is pre-competitive so he'll be training 2 days a week instead of one and being watched by the head coach to go to the Boys Competitive Team. He is definitely making his Grandma proud!
Hey There!
Today is last day of school for the kids and we are all ready for a break. As much as I love the idea of Summer I really dislike the Summer. The kids and I are not fans of the heat so we do all of our outings in the morning and evening hours and relax indoors with the AC in the afternoons. However, I am excited to sleep in a little later and start planning / shopping / decorating for the new school year.

Latter-Day Homeschooling
I came across this amazing blog a few months ago, and I absolutely love it! It has helped me so much to know that I am not alone in my beliefs. It has a lot of great resources and a lot of inspiration as well.

Even if you aren't a homeschooler it lots of great ideas for F.H.E and scripture study. Check it out, you won't regret it.

Disneyland
Ever since I took Robert to Disneyland in April 2010 we've been waiting for both kids to be tall enough to ride most of the rides so we could take them. We decided to surprise them and take a two day trip. I was determined to take a million pictures but half way through the first day I got lazy and the kids were tired of the photo shoots.
We went to celebrate Sage's 8th birthday a month early. It was great and vacation none of us will ever forget.
Sage with his birthday badge and Aurora with her first visit badge
Aurora posing with the book in Sleeping Beauty's Castle
