I'm Still Here!

I know that I haven't blogged in almost a week, don't worry I'm still alive! With the Twilight movie coming out soon, I thought that I would finally jump on the band wagon and start reading the books. I put it off for a long time cause when I read a book, I do nothing but read! My family puts ups with my laziness and lack of participation until I'm done. I started the first book late Sunday night and finished it by Noon on Monday. Then I moved to book two and was finished yesterday afternoon. I moved to book three and finished this afternoon and now I'm on book four and hope to be done by Tomorrow Morning or early afternoon. What can I say???? I LOVE to read!!!

First Day of Preschool!!!

My Little Boy is not so little anymore. Today was his first day of preschool! He was so excited to make new friends and be with his friend Ellie Lewis from Church. He was so excited to pick out a new backpack and lunchbox! He loves CARS!!! I was the one who was scared about just leaving him in a new place with new people, he just wanted me to leave so he could play. I'll post again after I pick him up and see how his first day went. Okay, I'm back! It all went well, and I was greeted by a BIG hug and kiss!!! He said he had fun and by the look of his clothes I would tend to agree. I wonder if he ate lunch though, his lunch box was still full. Oh well, I guess he'll eat a big dinner.

Girl in a Whirl

A friend sent me this and it made me laugh and cry at the same time. I frequently compare myself to a certain person I know, because she makes me feel like I have to be as good as she is at everything I do. I know that we all know someone like this who we compare ourselves to. Until recently, I would fret over being perfect, but with some help from my Husband and Heavenly Father I now know that I am the best at what I do, and that maybe just maybe they are comparing themselves to me. Sorry, if that sounds like bragging, but I think we should brag about ourselves a little bit know and then. Enjoy!

The Girl in a Whirl
By Vickie Gunther

Look at me, look at me, and look at me now!
You could do what I do if you only knew how.
I study the scriptures one hour each day;
I bake, I upholster, I scrub, and I pray.
I always keep all the commandments completely;
I speak to my little ones gently and sweetly.
I help in their classrooms! I sew all they wear!
I drive them to practice. I cut all their hair.
I memorize names of General Authorities;
I focus on things to be done by priorities.I
play the piano! I bless with my talents!
My toilets all sparkle! My checkbooks all balance!
Each week every child gets a one-on-one date;
I attend all my meetings (on time! Never late!)
I'm taking a class on the teachings of Paul, But that is not all!
Oh, no. That is not all. I track my bad habits till each is abolished;
Our t-shirts are ironed! My toenails are polished!
Our family home evenings are always delightful;
The lessons I give are both fun and insightful.
I do genealogy faithfully, too.Its easy to do all the things that I do!
I rise each day early, refreshed and awake;
I know all the names of each youth in my stake! I read to my children!
I help all my neighbors. I bless the community, too, with my labors!
I exercise and I cook menus gourmet;
My visiting teaching is done the first day!
(I also go do it for someone who missed hers.It's the least I can do for cherished ward sisters!)
I chart resolutions and check off each goal;
I seek each 'lost lamb' on my Primary roll!
I can home-grown produce each summer and fall.
But that is not all. Oh, no. That is not all.
I write in my journal, I sing in the choir.
Each day I write 'thank yous' to those I admire.
My sons were all Eagles when they were fourteen!
My kids get straight A's! And their bedrooms are all clean!
I have a home business to help make some money,
I always look beautifully groomed for my honey.
I go to the temple at least once a week;
I change the car's tires, I fix the sinks leak!
I grind my own wheat and I bake all our bread;
I have all our meals planned out six months ahead.
I make sure I rotate our two-year supply!
My shopping for Christmas is done in July!
These things are not hard; 'tis good if you do them,You can if you try.
Just set goals and pursue them.It's easy to do all the things that I do!
If you plan and work smart, you can do them all too!
"It's easy", she said, and then.. she dropped D E A D !!
